It was nice to have EconCodex.org up and running. Some recent updates on where I would like it to go:
- it will be a site where open source analytical tools are used on publicly available data sets with open scripts shared to illustrate how data science, economics, and cross-disciplinary research could work together to support decision making in public policy.
- it will go back to the origin of theoretical economics – Numerical Analysis – to build the foundations of microeconomic analysis – the DNA of all economics, and explain how economists think.
- it will create research tools that match available data with appropriate research methods and tools based on the type of question asked.
When I have a nice framework setup for the above, I will upload my work to Github and Kaggle online communities to share with more data scientists, economists, and scientists who are interested in interdisciplinary research.
